The following class or axle definitions will apply for your travel on the Garden State Parkway. A list of compatible toll transponders is shown below.

Remember, when counting axles, make certain to count all axles with wheels touching the ground. Be sure to include axles on any trailers your vehicle may be towing. That is the criteria for determining the total axles on your vehicle.

The Garden State Parkway uses the following class definitions for vehicles:

  • ► Class 1: 2-axle cars, trucks & motorcycles 
  • ► Class 2: Dual-tire 2-axle trucks/box trucks 
  • ► Class 3: 3-axle vehicles, incl. trailer axles
