Connecticut eliminated tolls in 1988; however, tolls will be reinstated no later than 2022, under a new transportation funding proposal from Connecticut's Governor Dannel Malloy. Tolls will be all-electronic, meaning cash will not be accepted.
Former and potential, future toll roads currently have service plazas and amenities for travelers, and that information is provided in advance of any new tolls taking effect.
