The Antioch Bridge is, technically, about a 1.8 miles long, rising 135 feet above the San Joaquin River between Contra Costa County and Sacramento County.
Getting to the span on the south side requires entering a freeway-style approach from either CA4, Main Street or Wilbur Avenue. From the north, drivers generally approach the bridge after crossing the Three Mile Slough Bridge, a free bridge, onto Sherman Island, which is home to a local winery.
