Gas Price Report For November 5, 2018

Gas price trend for week of November 5, 2018

Fort Lauderdale, FL – Gas prices took a deep dive during the past week, according to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s latest weekly price survey. According to the report, prices fell nearly six cents per gallon, on average, to settle at about $2.75, a price level not seen in nearly seven months.

Prices fell in all regions this week, and there were deep declines in several survey regions this week. On the West Coast, where the average prices are highest in the nation, costs fell over three cents per gallon, on average, to $3.45, according to the E.I.A. Prices were down between six and eight cents per gallon in three key regions, including the Lower Atlantic, the Midwest and across the Gulf Coast, which includes heavily-populated Texas.

Truckers saw prices decline this week, as well, but not at nearly the same pace, according to the weekly E.I.A. report.  Diesel prices fell well almost two cents per gallon, nationwide, to about $3.34.

This week’s average fuel prices for all regions are shown below, as gathered from www.eia.gov.
