Gas Price Report For March 26, 2018

Gas price trend for week of March 26, 2018

Fort Lauderdale, FL – Driving keeps getting more expensive, as the data reflect in the latest gas price survey, from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The weekly price report shows the cost of an average gallon of regular unleaded surged five cents on the week, pushing to about $2.65. Prices shot higher in all regions.

The lowest price increases were seen across the Midwest, according to the report, where drivers experienced a two cent increase in gas prices. For the unlucky drivers along the Gulf Coast, the price of gas surged nearly eight cents per gallon, according to the E.I.A., jumping from $2.30 last week to $2.38 this week. Prices along the Gulf remain the cheapest in the United States, according to the report.

The news was little better for truckers. Prices jumped about four cents per gallon, on average, for diesel, to settle over the $3.00 mark for the first time in weeks. The national average price of diesel is now $3.01, according to the E.I.A.

Fuel prices for all regions are shown below, as gathered from www.eia.gov.
