Gas price trend for week of February 26, 2018

Fort Lauderdale, FL – The nation’s average gas price has declined for the third consecutive week, according to the latest fuel price survey from the U.S. Energy Information Administration. The E.I.A. report shows the cost of a gallon of regular unleaded dropped by about a penny to $2.55. However, the week-on-week decline was the lowest of the past three weeks. Price declines were not seen in all regions. Across the Midwest, drivers found themselves paying, on average, about a penny to two cents more for gas, according to the survey report. Drivers across the West Coast are paying about a penny more. Truckers got another break in prices this week, according to the survey numbers. The cost of diesel dropped, on average, by two cents per gallon to settle at $3.01. Fuel prices for all regions are shown below, as gathered from www.eia.gov.
