Gas price trend for week of January 18, 2016

Fort Lauderdale, FL – The price of gas across the United State has officially fallen below $2.00 for most drivers across the United States. The weekly gas price survey from the Energy Information Administration, delayed for the federal holiday this week, reported the average price for a gallon of regular unleaded has now fallen to only $1.91. That price is a 9-cent drop from last week.

Drivers across the broad west coast region are the only group, as a whole, still paying well over $2.00 per gallon to fill up the tank.

Prices by region are as follows, ranked highest to lowest:

$1.979: PADD 1b CENTRAL ATLANTIC
$1.950: PADD 1a NEW ENGLAND
$1.906: PADD 4 ROCKY MOUNTAIN
$1.905: PADD 1 EAST COAST
$1.838: PADD 1c LOWER ATLANTIC
$1.712: PADD 2 MIDWEST
$1.672: PADD 3 GULF COAST

The price of diesel fuels, by region, are as follows, ranked highest to lowest:
