Gas Price Update For December 14, 2015

Gas price trend for week of December 14, 2015Fort Lauderdale, FL – The price of gas fell nearly two cents last week, although the nation’s average per gallon price only ticked down a penny due to rounding. Still, the price of regular unleaded will only set you back about $2.04, when averaged coast to coast. The falling price of gas continues to follow steep declines in crude oil prices.

Across the nation, nearly every survey region reported a decline in fuel costs. The Midwest, known for volatility, has been the scene of relatively stable prices for the past few weeks; still, prices there increased a penny during the past week, the only region where prices reversed course.

For all other regions, prices were down anywhere from a penny to as much as four cents per gallon. Prices by region are as follows, ranked highest to lowest:
