Louisville tolls are fairly simple, as the same toll is applied to three bridges crossing the Ohio River between southern Indiana and Kentucky, and a single agency handles tolls.
One of the three toll bridges is the Lewis and Clark Bridge, which is on the east side of the I-265 outer loop of the Louisville-Southern Indiana area. The other two bridges are the Abraham Lincoln Bridge, bringing traffic northbound on I-65 across the river, and the John F. Kennedy Bridge, which brings traffic over the river on I-65 southbound. Both bridges connect into downtown Louisville and to the I-71 interchange.
Tolls are collected regardless of which direction you are traveling, meaning commuters will want to take advantage of the local commuter discount options.
Toll gantries for the Lewis and Clark Bridge are on the Kentucky side of the Ohio River, and they are just to the north side of a pair of tunnels that cut beneath of ridge line in the Prospect area of the region.
Gantries for the Kennedy and Lincoln Bridges are on the Indiana Side, just to the north of the river.
Picturesque views of the river and the downtown Louisville bridges, including a railroad bridge converted to a pedestrian crossing, can be seen from both Louisvilles Champions Park, and from Riverside Park, Van Dyke Park and the Falls of the Ohio State Park, all in Jeffersonville, Indiana.
